It is difficult to imagine the great void. But in the beginning, the great void was indeed the only thing around; except for a small man and a chair and the creator of the world. The small man was getting impatient waiting for creation to start. Everything went so slowly.But suddenly, there was light: the first day was born! From then on everything went incredibly fast and the small man was overwhelmed. Wind, land, water, color, form, and matter filled the void. However, one thing remained constant; the small man was alone in his joy over the wonders that lay before him. Only the creation of a companion could give the creator of the world his needed rest.
Every culture leaves behind their own aray of ideas concerning the beginning, the nature and the structure of all things on this earth.The curiousity about all the riddles of the world, and questions about our heritage and destiny bring us to the beginning of the world . The production In the Beginning touches these questions with music, objects and the creation of a cosmos in the realm of the theatre.
